Perhaps Android was a great idea back in the old days, but since Google transformed it into a spyware platform, Google Android devices are effectively working against their owners. That's why I started to look for alternatives, and perhaps you have the same reason for reading this article now.
I have been thinking about alternative phone OSes for a while now, and I found this piece very enlightening as to the actual working experience of a couple of these options. I understand why the author didn't try out GrapheneOS (it is... understandable but annoying that it only works on Pixel phones) but given their critical eye I wish there was more of it. That said, still a great piece overall.
